We are blessed to have two gentlemen filling in on the lead part until God supplies a full time vocalist. I am proud, and pleased, to announce that our tenor vocalist is back with us. His name is Richard Alderman. He sang lead and tenor with us previously but is now doing an outstanding job on the tenor vocal only and running the sound. We are excited about what God has in store for us.
We recently sang at Lighthouse Ministries in Lakeland and we're happy to report that FIVE people got saved and TWO rededicated their lives to God. GLORY! We couldn't hardly contain ourselves. What a thrill to sing to a room full of people and know that there are some that are lost, then seeing them come to Christ. What a night. We look forward to returning soon. We also had a great time at New Life Ministries at their annual Watch Night Service. Yes, we started at 8:00 and went until after midnight. Many people were blessed by the singing of the New Life Praise Band, Ned and the Nedettes, Marty (guitar & vocal), The Atkinson's Trio and of course Sun State Quartet. Of course we just HAD to eat something too. It rained and turned cold but we had a blast. Watch our web site for more updates. We will be uodating our schedule regularly. Come see us, you'll be glad you did.
If you'd like to book Sun State Quartet you will find our information on the "Contact Us" page. Additionally, it is hard for a group to travel in four vehicles to and from sings. We do have a truck and trailer to haul our equipment in but we are praying for God to supply us the right bus and ministry partners that will help pay for it. All we ask is that you pray earnestly about supporting this ministry and that you will obey what God commands. The amount is not important, $5, $10, $15, $20, $50...whatever. It is the thought and support that we need that is important to us. If we can get 100 people to donate $10 per month we could easily be on our way to getting the ministry going very quickly. We are a non-profit organization and your donations are tax deductible. The bus is probably the most important thing to the ministry right now so your prayers and financial assistance would be greatly appreciated.
